Fitting Carpet Around Wardrobes

Pax wardrobes are very easy to fit and scribe in. Freestanding wardrobes have gaps above and to the side that are crying out to be filled with knickknacks and dust. If you try to move a wardrobe that size over the carpet you may damage the bottom of the wardrobe. One thing good about them being on some hardboard is you can cut the hardboard shorter making a little gap to tuck the carpet under at the front and ends of the wardrobes.

If not then lay the carpet around it. It s very very easy to level fitted wardrobes on carpet. It also depends if fitted means just that or just in place for a couple of years before rearranging. A fitter can fit round anything the issue is the cost.

Had viynl layed after around them all and it was fine. Had to prop wardrobes up on hardboard in the end for everything to aline again with top boxes ect. However the sturdier the wardrobe the better chance of achieving no damage. Even though it s n.

Will be following this thread with interest as to has anyone fitted carpet around drobes. You are looking at uplift and disposal of previous carpet say 3psqm if you can t move a bed and wardrobe i feel it unlikely that you would be able comfortable to cut the old carpet out around the furniture. We are in exact same position i desperately want a new bedroom carpet but the wardrobes are so big and all fitted it seems impossible to dismantle them but not sure fitting the carpet around them would work. Even if a bedroom is an awkward shape a fitted wardrobe can turn even the tightest corner into a workable home for belongings.

Also very easy to move around remodel with. If you already have carpet down you can fit over it.
